The Western States Trail Ride, popularly called the Tevis Cup Ride, is the oldest modern day endurance ride, having been held annually since 1955. As such, it has been the inspiration and model for the most challenging endurance rides worldwide.

 Festival of Lights Parade | December 2nd to December 2nd, 2006
One annual tradition that Auburn residents do not let slip by quietly is the Festival of Lights Parade. Last year more than 100 entrants brought floats, carriages, or just themselves to the parade usually held on the first Saturday in the month of December. Parade applicants will travel from Lincoln way and Cherry Avenue through downtown Auburn. "This is the Auburn version if the Disneyland electric parade," said Alabama resident Steve Gobble.

 Feats of Clay - National Ceramic Exhibition | May 3rd to May 28th, 2006
The annual, nationally recognized ceramic competition is Lincoln Arts glittering jewel, drawing over 1,600 entries and more than 6,000 visitors to Lincoln in 2005. Displayed in the historic 129-year-old Gladding, McBean terra cotta factory, it has been called the most unique and photogenic show in the country. The factory is well known throughout the world for their architectural terra cotta and collectible garden pottery.
